Barlines Pallette issue in MuseScore 3
Have just downloaded Muse Score 3 (windows X64) Have noticed that the end-start repeat symbol is missing from the Barlines palette ! Please restore it ASAP As a folk musician its a very useful feature in view of the simple structure of most folk tunes

Welcome. Add an end barline in measure X and a start repeat barline in measure X+1.

Yes I know that is possible but sometime I need to place both end and star inside a measure eg. before the last note to create an anacrusis for the next part of the tune This was possible and easy in MuseScore 2 but the double symbol is now not included in MuseScore 3 I created a score with this feature in V2 and tried to open it in V3 and after the recommended conversion the symbol disappeared - V3 cannot print the combined end- start symbol at all. Can this be restored to the barline palette please by the developer and issue an upgraded update?

It's still completely possible - simply split the measure at that point, which is what you should have been doing in MuseScore 2 as well in order to get it to playback correctly. So, click the last note, then Tools / Measure / Split Measure Before Selected Note/Rest. Then you can add the repeats.

The was even more of a fake as it didn't even play back, so I'm very glad it is gone!

Au contraire it should have been fixed to split the measure for you!
How can you be glad that end users must now do that operation in three steps (split, add end repeat, add start repeat) instead of one?

Because I saw enough user complaints about non-working repeats.
Better requiring 3 steps to get something right than making it a simple 1-step think that doesn't work at all
Indeed you can now in MuseScore 3 apply a barline and have it split the measure, if you hold Ctrl while appling a barline, so that part has been fixed.
And I don't object at all to add the end/start repeat barline back to to the palette, Au contraire, the corresponding issue has been entered by me...

That's because the feature needed fix (split measure for you), not because it needed removal.

Excellent.
