Writing in 4 voices
I did not have a problem with voices 1 and 2 on the treble clef, but when I tried to enter voice 3 in the bass clef a whole not rest appears in blue at the top of the bass staff. I cannot change the color; I cannot delete it. It interferes with the notation. It does not seem to have any real value when I play back the score. It looks like it has dropped from the treble clef. Any suggestions?

So indeed you do have a problem with voices ;-)
Each staff has up to 4 voices, with voice 1 being mandatory, so just use voice 1 and 2 in both staves, just like the handbook tells, https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/voices
