Middle beam with nothing to link to drawn wrong

Create a measure that ends with a non beamed note, like a half note and make it above the staff like a treble clef A. In the next measure create beamed notes that go up in pitch. Set the beaming for the first note to "Middle beam" and notice the stem grows very long as though it were going to attach the beam to the previous note. The actual beamed notes are flipped so they are the same direction as the note they are trying to attach to.
