Multiple Instruments on One Stave
I'm trying to write a part for pit orchestra percussion, which features a number of instruments from timpani to tam-tam, but I can't find a way to conveniently lob it all into one staff for easy reading. please help!

Use the Percussion instrument, which is a five-line staff containing lots of different sounds. You can then customize which sounds are which via Edit Drumset. To find the Percussion instrument, switch to Orchestra in the dropdown at top, then open Percussion - Unpitched, and you'll see it at the end of the list.
