How to eliminate a plus sign in a measure

I have no musical background except for playing a native american flute, but I am using Musescore to rewrite some of my music. For some reason a plus sign popped up in one of my measures (measure 32) Arms_of_An_Angel.mscz . Apparently, I did something wrong along the line, but I do not want to increase the time signature of that measure. I just make a mistake somewhere and now tht plus appears in one of my measure. I wasn't able to find an answer in the online handbook this time.

Select the 1/4 rest and press ctrl+del and the measure will be back to normal. I'm not sure how you added an extra rest there unless you changed the note input mode to insert.
