Musescore Example Manager for LibreOffice
would be nice if the import of scores into LibreOffice or Open Office could be limited to just certain measures (e.g. measures 1-4; measures 13-16 etc). This avoids to have to split a score into separate smaller files each containing the required example.

Indeed, but that would be much more complicated, we'd need an interface from LibreOffice to specify which measures you want, then a way from within MuseScore to honor that request from the command line. Instead, if you prefer not to have separate files, I recommend simply using the image capture tool from within MuseScore to copy an image of a region and pasting directly into LibreOffice, skipping the extension.
