File Corrupted!

Help! I seem to have lost my file that took me ages to write. Can you please tell me if there is anything I can do. I enclose a screenshot. It says the file has been corrupted because of an irregular time signature.

EDIT: I've sorted it now so panic over - but if anyone can tell me what has happened I would be grateful
