'+' key doesn't work to create tied note after leaving and re-entering note entry mode
This seems like a pretty minor issue overall, but it's really been impacting my workflow.
This is with the latest available nightly build (from 1 week ago) on Mac OS X 10.9.
Steps to reproduce:
- In note entry mode, enter a note that you want to tie to another note.
- Hit the escape key to leave note entry mode, and go do something somewhere else in the score (e.g. editing a chord symbol).
- Click to select the notehead you just entered; it will turn blue.
- Hit N to re-enter note entry mode. Select the desired note duration (e.g. 6 for half note) and hit + to create a new note of that duration tied to the selected note. Nothing happens.
The workaround is to enter the note you wanted to tie to, leave note entry mode, click the first note, and then hit +, which correctly makes the tie.
Comments
This has been a problem for a long time; duplicate of #9927: unable to create tie in Note Input mode after editing length of note. I'm closing that one as a duplicate of this, though, because the description & workaround are better here.
BTW, the other workaround if to re-enter the original note; that's what I normally do.
That's been my workaround.
This would be fixed by my PR https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/pull/2179
Awesome, thanks!
