dynamic effects on notes
I am searching for a feature for fading in or out, slowly increasing or diminishing a tone. Not crescendo but fading the pitch over a single note freely. I am not very experienced, but I could not find it after trying the palette range. I am new to the programme, first time composing. It is fantastic and I can't get away from it. So far I have been plucking and picking irish and scottish, a bit of grass, but this is a new range and world of music.

Perhaps a bend (https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/bends)? Possibly combined with such a cresc/dim?

I try. Thank You.
Can you explain the difference between what you are asking for and crescendo? Sounds exactly like it to me. Prior to 3.1, MuseScore would not actually play crescendos on a single note, but now it does.

I don't particularly like the sound of the bend. I is squeaky. Crescendo and diminuendo works, but not the way I would like to. More like fading in slowly increasing rising tone in a curve. Maybe I just cannot find it.

You can customize the rate of change for the crescendo and diminuendo, see the "Dynamics method" control in the Inspector.
