Piano step recording onto two staves? (Real-time automatic)

Currently I'm using a foot switch to control real-time advance and inputting notes directly from a MIDI keyboard into a piano grand staff. I fully understand why Musescore doesn't attempt to record multiple voices simultaneously on a single stave (that would be a nightmare), however I am wondering if there is anyway to have a key-split say on the note middle C, and have it such that everything below the key split goes into the bass clef (typically the left hand) and everything higher than the key split gets input into the treble stave (typically the left hand)?
