Piano Roll Editor: on-time/length should be on-time/off-time, or on-time should adjust length
I almost never need to change the on-time of notes (sometimes I do, and it frequently misbehaves); I adjust off-times/lengths daily.
Changing the on-time by 𝛅 should detract 𝛅 from the length. If it were off-time instead of length, this wouldn't be necessary. Right now every on-time adjustment is buggy in this way.

I had a conversation on the .com with a poster who, having posted an accurate score of a renowned solo violin work, rejected my suggestion to stagger the on-times of chords in a way simulating a real violin-chord sound, and his reason was "then I'd have to adjust the length of each note, too, and until the UI is made less cumbersome, I'll just stick to typography", i.e., the lack of what I recommend. Does anyone have any feelings about this? This is really buggy IMHO. (Ideally, it should be "offTime", not "length", offered in the UI.) This is a UI change only, scores are not affected and there are no compatibility issues.

Makes perfect sense to me FWIW. I suppose somewhere there is a use case for keeping length constant, but not ones that would be as common as the other.

I suppose that there isn't. If there is, I can't imagine it, and I doubt there's a heavier user of the PRE than myself. If you delay the note's beginning, you don't want it overlapping the next note by the same amount AFAICT.
