Instrument live preview

I haven't used the forums here before, so I apologise if I break any rules!
A feature that I have found myself in desperate need of countless times is some sort of live preview when changing instruments in the mixer. I change the SoundFont that I use a lot and it would make my life so much easier if I could hear what the instrument sounds like when I change it.
I don't think coding it in would be too difficult, so I'd very much appreciate it if this feature could be considered!
