2nd ending wonky
I am using MS 3 for the first time in a long while; there were just too many hassles with it when it first came out. I stepped into the water again with this piece and have been delighted! There is a learning curve with MS 3, but nothing too difficult so far. Many steps that needed work-arounds in MS 2 have now been made much easier--thanks developers!
One thing I cannot figure out is why this second ending does not contain a crossbar! [see screenshot] No matter what I do, I can't get it to show up. Every other ending in the piece is perfect, all but this one. Very odd.
I am using the very latest version of MS 3 [at least as of yesterday], and Windows OS.
Thanks as always!
Scott

You will need to attach the score rather than a picture. I've never seen this in version 3.2.3. There was something remotely related at one time, but I'm sure it was fixed.

Here's another oddity: when I opened the score this AM, the problem went away. It looks completely normal.
Try right-clicking and checking the properties.
Attach the *.mscz file if you want someone to take a look
Looks like a recurrence of #288508: Bad layout of lines (text line, trill line...) before start repeat.

geetar, this is the horizontal line on the volta missing. What you referred to was lines before a repeat not being the correct length. Definitely not the same issue.
I was thinking of #287871: Volta on bar ending in start repeat displayed with no line after adding break, which it turns out is not fixed.
As you apparently have figured out what this glitch is, I assume you will be able to fix it. Great!
I did want to tell those hard-working folks who do this for us: Thanks! As I said, this is my first time using MS3 since it's ill-fated roll-out several months ago. I am definitely impressed by the new version. Yes, some things changed and it takes some getting used to a new way of doing things, but I know I spent less than half the usual [MS 2] time editing this piece.
Just the cresc. / dim. symbol automatically moving away from the dynamic marking saved a lot of time moving stuff.
Again, thank you all!

I second your opinion about the latest version. It is so much better than version 2. At some point, someone will get time to look at the horizontal line problem and address it. 2.3.2 has a lot of major bugs fixed since 3.1 so I can see programmers start to concentrate on the many issues such as this that are relatively minor.
