Moving several grace notes to another bar
Hello!
I have an XML with many grace notes. In most cases, they are in the incorrect bar and come 'before' a note as opposed to 'after'. Is it possible to move the grace note to another measure while changing its' position in reference to the note?

No, not without deleting and reentering
Grace notes normally should occur after the barline, thus before the note they are attached to. The main time they would appear before the barline (and this after the note they are attached to) is if it's an ending on a trill or the like. In your image, the version on the right is correct; the left is incorrect. Are you saying the MusicXML file actually contains the incorrect version and you want to correct it? Or do you think it's correct in the MusicXML file but it's getting converted to the incorrect notation on import? Or something else?

I am recreating several classical scores. In most cases, such grace notes happen at the end of a bar as opposed to the beginning of the next bar. In Sibelius, where I created most of these scores, there is no way to really add them at the end of a bar except by dragging them there. The resulting XML does not reflect the positions in the Sibelius file so most of the time, the notes are completely omitted. In many other cases, I stopped fighting with Sibelius and just put the notes after the barline, and now I am hoping I can just move them in musescore to where I want them, avoiding having to completely re-do all of that. In some cases its notes that complete a trill, in others it just a section of grace notes. As an example see pages 2 and 5: http://conquest.imslp.info/files/imglnks/usimg/a/a3/IMSLP33909-SIBLEY18…

OK, yeah, those are ornaments as opposed to grace notes really, so using grace notes after is the way to go, and if Sibelius didn't export them that way, you'll have to recreate them manually.

Alright thank you

Actually it seems like Sibelius did export them - Finale and OSMD managed to open it as it's displayed in Sibelius. I'll fiddle more with the spacing I guess since I prefer Musescore than Finale.

If you attach the MusicXML file we can investigate further.

I have attached it here.Note: I found that when I delete the 'cue-sized' notes, it opens the grace notes correctly.

I'm not enough of a MusicXML exprt to say if that file is doing it correctly or not, but I can confirm Finale interprets it differently. I'd encourage you to file an official bug report to the issue tracker (see Support menu above, or Help / Report a Bug, from within MuseScore), setting Severity to Minor and leaving other fields at their defaults. Include the XML and a brief description of the issue.
