Right click->select->more->all similar;
Open Inspector->reset to style.
Upgrade if possible: https://musescore.org/en/download
Right click a lyric and choose select>All similar items. Look in the inspector (F8) and click the Reset to text style button.
I usually highlight the text (click and drag) when the text is highlighted look down to the bottom left. All your "Word document" type of stuff is right there. You can change the size, the font, etc.

Note that this method (the text toolbar at the bottom) is intended only for changing individual characters/words within a text element. To change the attributes for the entire text element, it is much better to use the Inspector. Then it can respond to future changes in style correctly, and other benefits as well. Then you won't need to use the "Remove Custom Formatting" button later.

The right click select all similar is a far more efficient way to select only the lyrics since dragging selected everything.
