Headphones/Earphones not delivering sound

So here's my problem: I connected my earphones to work on a score and the sound came out of my laptop speakers instead of my earphones while I was in Musescore3 (Note that these are wired earphones in perfect condition). In other applications, such as my browser, the sound would simply come out of my earphones. I really need help as this is really preventing me from working peacefully with my scores.
