Support for custom shortcuts

It would be great to have a way to bind any item from the master palette to any key or a combination of keys.
For example, I often find myself wasting a lot of time notating pedal lines. I have to select the notes, then find the pedal line, move my mouse, double-click it, repeat for the next section. So if I could bind the pedal line to some key combination, it would speed up the process greatly.
