soprano rests in other lines
everything is fine when writing in soprano but when i switch to the other lines a rest appears in blue, how do i get around this. HELP

My guess is you are making the mistake of trying to enter notes in some voice other than 1. You should always start with voice 1. So, in a two-staff SATB score, on the top staff soprano is voice 1, alto is 2, but then on the bottom staff, tenor is 1 and bass is 2. Always start with 1.
