Organ Playback Issue

When I use note entry, I am able to hear the organ instrument when I press a note using the same usb keyboard I have used for years just fine. If I am not in note entry, there is no sound when I press the keyboard. If I change the staff to piano or harpsicord, the keyboard plays the sound when I hit a note. This is a file issue as it is happening in all files and even a new one. This obviously makes it impossible to play sounds before note entry
