Accidentals during MIDI note input
What are Musescore's rules for choosing a sharp or flat during MIDI input? I find I have to change what it has chosen probably half the time. Also, it would be great that if I switch, say, a Db to a C#, then for the rest of the measure that pitch should be notated as a C#.

Accidentals are chosen according to the key signature. If there are not 4 flats or 3 sharps in the key signature, MuseScore pretends that this is the key signature for applying accidentals. So F, C and G are sharps unless the key signature says otherwise and B, E, A, D are flat unless the key signature says otherwise.
More specifically, whichever spelling is closer to the key on the circle of fifths is the one chosen.

Would it be possible to modify the behavior such that the user's choice is kept through the measure? If I change a C# to a Db on beat 2, I probably still want a Db on beat 4.

It's conceivable, not sure how straightforward it would be to implement though. Feel free to submit an official suggestion to the issue tracker.
