Formatting issues when opening Musescore 2 files in Musescore 3
I've finally updated to Musescore 3. I primarily use Musescore to write chord charts (hundreds of them!)
When opening MS2 files in MS3, the formatting and alignment is all over the place. This means I will need to go through hundreds of files and tidy them all up (hours of work)
Is there a way of setting MS3 to read like MS2?
I've attached an example, The chords should be contained within the bar, not above

No, there is not. You may be able to select All chord symbols and disable autoplace
Shouldn't take hours once you figure out what is going on. If you attach your actual score rather than just a picture, we can assist better. But as it is, I would guess from the picture that a couple of seconds updating the style settings to place the chord symbol on the staff would fix it immediately. Eg, move one onto the staff, click the "set as style" next to the offset and minimum distance fields in the Inspector. If you have many scores using this same basic layout, you can then do Format / Save Style and then load the resulting MSS file into other scores. Or, just keep MuseScore 2 around for quickly printing old files, and take advantages of the more powerful features in MuseScore 3 for new ones.
