Pressing a key does nothing when virtual keyboard has focus

When I use the virtual keyboard (which, btw, is one function of musescore that I love) and the keyboard window gets focus, like from me moving it to a different place b/c it's covering a part of the score, when I press a number to change duration for the next note of input, nothing happens because of the keyboard having focus. I would like to see the keyboard automatically lose focus either after being repositioned or when pressing a key on the keyboard (either a letter key for a note or a number key for a duration).
