Tied notes from first ending back to the repeat sign
I think I have seen this discussed, but just don't know or remember the solution. How does one tie a note from a repeat sign...like at the end of a "first ending"....back to the beginning of that section... Notes seem to tie easily if they are in the next bar/measure... but I need to indicate the note is tied back to the same note at the beginning of that section.... it won't document an "open tie"... or whatever one would call it...
Thanks,
Jeff

I still am unable to understand how to tie FROM the first ending to the beginning of the repeated section. If I add hidden notes in the 2nd ending I am unable to hide the ties in that 2nd ending if it is at the beginning of a stave.
Can someone please guide me?

The examples attached to the How To above were generated with 2.1.The one below has two Grace Notes tied, made invisible and silent (by Inspector)

THanks, but that does not answer my need.
What I want to do is have ties going from that last bar of ending 1 so that they will tie to the first bar of the repeated section.
If I add hidden notes in a bar after the first ending, I cannot hide the ties in the latter bar and still keep them in the 1st ending.
Attached is a pic of the last bar - I want to add ties FROM the chord.

This?
I see active Jm6stringer, maybe he can understand and explain better ;-)

Thanks Franz. I found grace note after. That works for the top note of the chord.
However the other notes do not tie to the grace notes. Perhaps Jm6stringer can help?

That works fine if the following bar is on the same line as the ending. However, see the attachment here.
If I add the notes into the 2nd ending and hide them, the only way I have found to hide the ties in the 2nd ending is to select them (and select the end handle) and make them as small as possible. This still leaves an artifact.
See the end of the piece.

Measure 33.
I want to have the ties extend out of the last bar of the first ending because there is a repeat to the 1st full bar of the piece.

The last bar of the first ending?
Looks to me like the first ending (1st volta) is comprised of a single bar. It's the one and only bar in that first ending.
That said, the treble clef of measure 33 shows a G as the top note of the chord. Add a grace note after to that note. It will appear to tie to the G whole note at the start repeat.

Attach an example here? Even a few lines and, given my difficulty, Ctrl+T to insert "From this note to this and this".
If what matters is visualization... grace notes (before and after), Inspector->stemless, small and silent. Then you can move them around and, with a double click, adjust them.
Jm6stringer or one of the contributors more equipped than me and I believe this is called bump if it brings the discussion back to the top of the comments)

As you can see, the ties after do not attach to the hidden notes after. As I have similar notes in the last bar of the piece, they attach to those notes.
I suggest trying to solve it using my actual piece rather than "examples". :)
Thanks

Something like that?
Should the Ties from measure 33 continue to measure 2? Pay attention to Voice1/2.

Which, as you should know by now, is why it's best to attach your actual score (not a picture) from the very beginning. ;-)

Ah, I see I was trying to solve a problem that was in my head. I don't need the chord.
I still want to know how Scoichi solved that. :)

As mentioned above, I used Grace Notes for Measures 2 and 33. They have the ties of the corresponding Voice. Note the color gradients of the notes made invisible in the attached image.
