L Key?
I got Musescore on my new Macbook and pressing the L key (to write things like "lento") does not register it on the keyboard- it comes up as "ento." The L key works in every other app I've checked, does anyone have any recommendations?

Check whether you've assigned 'L' somewhere as a shortcut. (Edit → Preferences → Shortcuts and/or the Plugin menu).
In some states it could be that the shortcut action (even tough failing or non-functional at that moment) is being triggered, thus "eating" the keystroke away from normal text input.
