Oversized text frames(?) in menu drop down boxes

Menu item drop down boxes are 3x larger than is needed for each item listed. Currently have Musescore 3, ver. 3.4.2.9788 open. For aomw reason, the File menu drop down is 'normal', all others are enlarged. At least half menu options cannot be accessed, since the box extendes below what can be displayed. I have no idea how or why this is happening, and though I looked at numerous Microsoft help files, I found no mention of this occuring for other users. This behavior began a few months ago and only occurs when using Musescore.
