Move a system or section

I would like to be able to move a single system or more than one systems (as a segment) to a different position in a score. For example, let's say there is a bridge, and I would like to make it an intro and place it at the top of the sheet. Inserting new measures and copying and pasting still leaves out some elements, such as repeats. It can also introduce anomalies: for example, a bass part became corrupted when I tried copy and paste this way (notes dropped several octaves out of the staff). Is it possible to move a segment of music to a new position, keeping all its components intact.
