Musescore to GarageBand - how to choose which guitar is used in GarageBand by default?

My song has an electric guitar in it and in MuseScore it is set to Overdrive. When I export the Midi to GarageBand the app uses the Classic Clean guitar, but I want to use the Hard Rock guitar. The reason I'm asking is, for some reason if I try to manually change the instrument in GB, only the bottom note of the chords will play.
