Movement of the playback cursor

I would like the cursor to move continuously in equal steps through the music. For example in a three-four-time it should move in three steps per measure - independent of the note values used. – Additionally there should be an option to switch of the cursor for playback.
Reason: I use musescore to create practice material for my choir. The cursor with its unsteady movement can be irritating – while the highlighting of the notes played is very good.
