"Fix" Muted Trombone/Bass Trombone Sound
Whenever I apply the "mute" text to one of those, the playback won't "apply" it, but rather play it like it normally does. And please it's not a solution if I switch Trombone to Trumpet because they have different timber in same pitches.

I don't know what PR is... but you mean the only "temporary" solution is to change to trumpet?

Pull Request, proposed code change. But yes, a muted trumpet is the best we can offer

All right... So i'll just wait I suppose. I don't like seeing those red notes

Why red? That would mean outside range, not muted or not.
Ah, if you use trumpet instead of trombone, right?

Just right click the staff and use Staff Properties to set the range however you like.

To be clear: for 3.5, the trombone instrument will support the "mute" channel, and will use a muted trumpet sound. Which, I suspect, was actually sampled from a trombone anyhow once you get much below middle C. Either that or was digitally altered to produce notes a trumpet cannot, but something about the process makes it semi-convincing as a muted trombone anyhow.
Meanwhile, while waiting for 3.5, you can change the sound to muted trumpet using an Instrument change from the Text palette. Add the element, then go to the Mixer and you'll find a new sub-channel you can change to use that sound. So it can still use trombone for the open passages. Or, use C trumpet as the instrument, but use the Mixer to change the default open sound to Trombone. Actually that's better.

Okay that's some complicated stuff I think. Perhaps there could be others brass instruments that are "bugged".

Actually that last suggestion is pretty dead simple, would take all of 10 seconds.

Like this? Can't find that "sub-channel" or is it that "Channel"?
