Can I copy individual voice parts?
I just transcribed a piece by Bach and need to separate the voice lines for independent analysis of the parts. Can I do this?

Make them invisible. Or swap voices, so that the notes are non in voice 1, then delete the non-voice 1 rests

yes, voice 1 needs to be complete, all other voices are optional and can have 'holes'
Voice 1 rests can only get made invisible. If you (truly) delete them, you shorten the measure
