Audio Never Follows Default System Audio Out

Ever since I downloaded Musescore I have not been able to use it since it never plays audio on the System Default audio out channels (speakers, headphones, etc.) I have scoured every setting in the program and am unable to figure it out. Not sure if this is a bug or not, figured I would mention it though.
