Crashing on startup; boots only via disabling synthesizer
Hello,
I'm attempting to run MuseScore 3.4.2 on a 64-bit Windows 10 pc. However, when doing so, I'm briefly met with the blue landing/title window, followed by the crash reporter.
After some troubleshooting, I've found that opening MuseScore via the -s command line option (disable sythesizer) lets the program open with no issues, other than the obvious issue of the playback being disabled as a result.
I'd like to be able to run MuseScore without disabling the synthesizer. Below are the steps I've taken to try to fix this issue.
-Complete reinstall of v3.4.2 (both x64 and x32)
-Attempt to run an older stable version (2.3.2)
-Various other command line options (-w, -F, -n, -m, etc.)
-Checked the list of known incompatibilities
-Installed a new soundfont, followed by attempting to replace the default soundfont
-Unticked "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" for my audio playback device
Any help would be very much appreciated.

As mentioned in the original post, this has already been attempted to no avail.
Just a guess, but maybe try to update your audio driver.
A quick update - after spending a day uninstalling, re-installing, and modifying countless programs and settings, I've found that disabling "Realtek High Definition Audio" in device manager allows me to open MuseScore normally. This is not the audio driver I use normally, so disabling it doesn't interfere with anything (to my knowledge).
As for how or why this works, I've got no clue.
