Scrolling of overlong palette

When opening a palette in the sidebar by clicking on the small arrow, if the palette extends beyond the bottom of the screen, it automatically scrolls upwards until the last element is visible. This is particularly noticeable with the Lines palette, which has many entries.

The consequence of this is that, each time I try to open the Lines palette and add a crescendo hairpin, I actually add a 2a volta, because in the second it takes me to move the mouse from the expansion arrow to the hairpin, the list has scrolled. For some, this may seem a logical action, but it is not intuitive to me.
