motivic development tools
Heyo ! I'm new here! ✋ I'm beyond excited about Musescore 4! Are there any plans on adding motivic development/manipulation tools? That is one feature I REALLY need. I have to use Sibelius for that and I would prefer to use something open source. Thanks a bunch ☺

No specific plans in that direction, but plugin capabilities are being increased constantly (3.5 will finally have support for adding tuplets) opening the way for some of those tools as plugins.

Since we already have paste half / double duration built in, retrograde and inversion seems the obvious candidates. For inversion, probably there should be diatonic and chromatic (literal) options. For retrograde, perhaps options to reverse just the pitches keeping the rhythm as is, or reversing everything.
