Trying to set up to start composing
Lisa Renee Ragsdale (lisarenee.ragsdale@gmail.com) sent a message: 1) I have a friend I have known for 50 years rave about Muse Score. However he is not a "working composer." I am and I cannot figure out how to use your software.
2) I am accustomed to using Finale although the last Finale I had (F.2012) was beginning to wear down. I have 56 compositions to my name, 51 of which were composed between 2000 and 2019.
3) I have plans (in words) for at least 4 more compositions and would like to begin work on them but am unfamiliar with how to set up even one of them on Muse Score.
4) Can someone help me with how to set up my 1st composition? (for Woodwind Quintet)

P.S. I do not have a file to drag or drop. This Software is very different from what I am accustomed.

Start by reading the handbook: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/create-new-score.
There are also various Youtube tutorials: https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=musescore+3+tutorial…
Accept the fact that Musescore is not Finale so does some things differently! If you don't like having to change your workflow after nearly 20 years then upgrade your existing version of Finale for $149.
