The score contains three instruments, two ukuleles and one clarinet. The first instrument created was the ukulele in the key assigned to the ukulele is C Major. The clarinet was automatically set to D Major by Musescore. The change to the key for the clarinet seeed to occur when I changed the order of the instruments in the score. The clarinet's notes continued to play back as D Major! All attempts to reset the clarinet correctly back to the original key of D Major failed.

I'm not quite sure what you are saying the problem is. It is correct that for a song in C, a clarinet part would be written in D major, since clarinets are transposing instruments sounding a major second lower than written. If you view the score with the Concert Pitch button enabled, you'll see the sounding pitches (key of C), but either way, you will hear C major. Currently, you do have Concert Pitch enabled, so I'm seeing (and hearing) C major just as I expect. As far as I can tell, everything is as it shoudl be with this score. Is there something in particular I would need to do in order to see or hear a problem?
