Hello @ all,
yesterday, when I opened up MS 3.4.2, I recieved a notice about that available update to ver.3.5. So I tried three times to do that update for my WIN 10 64-bit-PC – in vain. Seems, the Install-Script contains some bug, as it is permanently searching for some CD named „MuseScore 3“ (that is not mounted). I did four screenshots of the screen-dialogues. (see attachment) Does anybody know a workaround on this issue?

Try installing 3.4.2 first, at least downlpad it and point that dialog the the place where you stored the download

Hi, Jojo, nice to meet you again!
Thanx. First I wondered a little: installing pre-version 3.4.2, that is already installed and functionable??? Shurely, the install-Script for ver. 3.5.0 is not searching for it's own Dir/File but searching for >>MuseScore-3.4.2-x86_64.msi<< -- and that's the install script for it's predecessor, because it cannot de-install the predecessor without that script. B^/. Now I've learned that, if you install or update Musescore, you should not delete the install-file (xyz.msi, as I did), but you'll have to store the installscript, too, after it has done it's work. You'll need that for your next update! Thank heavens, MuseScore-3.4.2-x86_64.msi was available from GitHub - it's no longer available on Musescore.org. After downloading/storing the older script, the update to ver 3.5.0 continued, as it accepted browsing to it's predecessor's store.
I would suggest to insert a hint to this issue into the handbook.
Best Regards
