Is there a way to make the right hand quieter than the left hand on piano?

I'm working on a song where there's a really fast but soft right hand part with the left hand playing the dominant part, and it just doesn't sound right when they are played at the same dynamic. I've tried just setting the different parts to different dynamics but it didn't change anything. What do I do?
