I'm still getting unwanted chord play when I load a new score. How do I turn this feature off once and for all.
Here's a score loaded after following (I think) all the instructions to turn chord play off.

You will be able to turn off chord playback in 3.5.1 when that gets released. They're still working on other bugs for it though.

3.5.1 will only make it easier amd change the defaults for pre 3.5 scores

My understanding is that this is on a score by score basis. When he creates a new score he must turn off chord playback each time.

Well, not each time, but once for every score
Seems I misread the original question, sorry, disable chord playback once and for all will indeed need 3.5.1.
