I was the biggest fan of the PRE (in spite of the way it used to crash on Macs), but since the birth of the Articulation plugin, don't think I've used it once. Check it out.

Yes, it does. You DON'T NEED the PRE to adjust note articulation if you use the plugin, and all the staves always appear in MuseScore's main window.

Did you read the supplied documentation, and see the examples using it? A tool is of no value if don't use it.
