scJL9999 fies on Mac

I see several files that are located in UserID/Library/Application Support/MuseScore/MuseScore3 on my Apple computer that all appear to start with scJL, followed by a four-digit number and the .mscz extention.
What is the purpose of these files and can I removed them?
