quarter note triplet

How do I do this? I can't seem to get the program to do this.
I want a quarter note, quarter note then quarter note triplet to complete the measure (4/4).

Since the quarter note triplet takes the same amount of time as a 1/2 note, make a 1/2 rest and turn it into a triplet with ctrl+3.
