Muting Musescore's MIDI sounds when using external keyboard for note entry
Hi,
Can I mute internal instrument sounds when entering notes?
I hear my keyboard's internal sound when I strike a key then musescore's sound a bit later due to latency somewhere down the line. It's a bit distracting! ~ Ideally I'd have musescore's sounds just when playing a score back but not during note entry.
Thanks and apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, in which case I'll delete this post.
Thanks,
Sam.

And as a slight aside - can I use a VST soundbank within musescore? I've grown to like Xpand!2 and use it regularly within my DAW.
There is a setting for playing notes during input to be found here: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/preferences#note-input
VSTs are currently not natively supported; this is one of the major things being worked on for MS4. In the meantime you might consider using MuseScores MIDI Out (or Jack) to route to a standalone VST-host.
