Suggestion for new excerpts

Graphics programs I use often have a feature such as "New from Clipboard", which creates a new file/work from whatever has been saved on the Clipboard.

It would be useful in Musescore to be able to select parts - maybe considerable bleeding chunks - then to perform a "New from Selection" in a similar way.

At present, to do this, one first has to create a template with the required layout to accept the selection, then do a Copy and Paste in to the new template. Of course the template can be done moderately easily by duplicating the current work in progress, then deleting most of the irrelevant bars, then doing the Copy and Paste - but that does require more operations, whereas a "New from Selection" or "New from Clipboard" would be very quick.
