View playback in one part while playing all parts
Either this is already possible, or it is a feature suggestion. It would be nice to be able to play through a part (that is, see the notes for only one instrument, or a small number), while hearing the entire score play back so as to hear the context of an individual part.

See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/parts and/or use the "Edit > Instruments" or Navigator view to hide instruments from view.

Or toggle the visibility of individual instruments from the timeline.
Create the part (Edit->Parts)
look at the part and open the mixer (F10)
Uncheck the "Play part only" box in the top left corner
Thanks. The checkbox in the mixer is the thing I'd completely missed. I also wasn't aware of the visibility controls in the Instruments dialog.

In short scores it makes sense to toggle Visibility in long scores it makes more sense to use parts and the mixer. Both ways are very useful.
This must be for a paid version of Musescore? I see the Play part only button and I am unable to uncheck it. I also read this post and another post related to this topic and tried each suggestion. While the music on the score is hidden, Musescore still plays back all parts on the score.
I even thought selecting a section would play only that part, but it always plays all parts.
I have checked I have most recent update. But if I am missing something I should have changed, I would love to hear about it. Thanks in Advance

There isn't a paid version of Musescore.
See above: open the mixer (F10) check/ Uncheck the "Play part only" box in the top left corner, or set (via Mixer) Solo.
Can you attach here the *.mscz file you are having problems with?

You need to have generated parts first, File > Parts, and then be on one of the parts rather than the main score

Well beats me I can see not play part only check box in the top left of the mixer?
Changing visibility setting of each instruments is a pain and a lot more clicks!

There is no paid version of the notation software; it is 100% completely free.
