Mixer opens with MIDI channel details hidden
Each time opening the mixer (F10), the top area of the window is hidden, you need to manually reveal it by pressing the horizontal show/hide toggle bar.

Turn on the option "Show MIDI controls in mixer" found in Edit > Preferences > Score > View.
This should've been on by default imho, just as it was before. Or simply remember whatever setting you've used last time and restore to that.
This preference to me feels like a regression.
It's even worse because you have to click the arrow button twice to get the top panel to open -_-

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be the only thing that feels like a regression to me.

Feel free to open up topics to address some of the other things you feel as regressions; perhaps they are and can be fixed, or perhaps they're intentional and we can aid in understanding them better.

My understanding is that is a bug fix in that this setting was ignored before, so we never really realized until now that the default was not what people would probably prefer.n In other words, the default has always been bad, it was just ignored before because of the bug that just got fixed.
I would agree the default should probably change, but am not sure what the ramifications of that are. Probably not as big for changes to preferences as for style settings.
