[Feature] Add Accidental to Trill
When I was looking for a way to write down what I had in my head, I found this:
"The usual way of executing a trill, known as a diatonic trill, is to rapidly alternate between the note indicated and the note directly above it in the given scale (unless the trill symbol is modified by an accidental, understood to apply to the added note above; this is a chromatic trill)."
As far as I can tell, this isn't possible in Musescore yet. I cheated my way around this limitation by doing this:
Is there a way of combining an accidental with a trill that I'm not aware of?
If not, I think this would be a great addition to Musescore!

Thank you, that helped a lot.
However, may I suggest implementing a way of REALLY adding an accidental to the trill, without needing to add invisible voices and text that doesn't do anything within Musescore?
It could be something as simple as changing the accidentals from the top-bar to be apply-able to trills.

Yes, it is a valid feature request. And not the first time: #14442: Trills and other ornaments with sharp or flat signs

Oh, I see! :)
Thank you.

Note that it's already possible for trill lines - but there's a weird bug that means they don't show immediately, you need to make some other change to the note to cause it to appear (or any subsequent changes to be reflected).

FWIW, this typically means we aren't calling updateLayout() where or how we need to, which marks the measure as needing be laid out at the end of the current operation.

Yes I assumed something like that, the weird thing is that it isn't consistent in 3.6, but does seem to be in 4.0, so I was hoping to fix there and put up a PR for it.

I've been using this for ages on MS3, but for some reason it doesn't seem to work on MS4! Is there a trick yet for playback in the new version?

A late reply but the trick I use on MS4 is to put down an invisible key change before the trill. That usually works for me.

New settings for this are being worked on as we speak...
