Set tab increment to half measure

Hi, all. When entering chord symbols you usually select a note at the beginning of a measure and press ctrl+K, enter the chord value, and press tab to move to the next measure. But what if the next chord is only a half measure down the pike? You then have to manually backup, select the note in the middle of the measure and start over. This is very inconvenient. Is there a way to set the tab so that it moves only a half measure instead of a whole measure each time?
