Pasting results in note changes
When I copy a measure (or more) and paste it into another like measure (same instrument, key, time signature) it transposes the notes down automatically. Help?

Presumably that's because you are copying/pasting between instruments that transpose differently. For example, clarinet sounds a whole step lower than written. guitar an octave lower, etc. So when copying, the appearance of the notes on the page is automatically transposed to compensate, as it should be.
If you think you are seeing something else, please attach the score and give more information about what you are copying.
EDIT: I see you say it is the same instrument, but be sure there aren't instrument changes anywhere on the staff. Or, of course, clef changes. And again, if something still seems off, attach your score so we can understand and assist better.
