F12 - Timeline Interface
Nothing dysfunctional about the timeline, purely an aesthetic thing - the tempo is displayed with this character, in place of the crotchet. Hopefully a quick fix?

What OS? For me on Linux / debian, it works fine, but I could imagine the default font on some OS's not including it. In any case, try a different font and see if that helps.

Not really, also depends on which version of Windows. What is it showing currently? For on my Windows 10 system, I see Segoe UI, and it works as expected.

Which version of Windows? Could be some have that font but not those characters.
Anyhow, try other fonts and see if any make a difference. I don't know which fonts you have so I don't know what to suggest, and since Segoe UI works for me and others but not for you, it seems this is an experiment that will yield different results on different systems, so it's one you will have to perform yourself anyhow/

What happens if you change the font face in preferences? With OpenSuse and font face "noto sans", font size "9.00 pt" it looks fine.
